The Sydney Token Kai Japanese Sword Show and Exhibition (Taikai) is being held at the
Metro Central Hotel, 431 - 439 Pitt Street, Sydney Australia, 9th to 11th September 2011.

All staff and organizers are volunteers and are donating their time. This event is non profit with any excess funds raised being donated to Legacy Australia.

Friday 9th September 2011   

12 noon to 4pm Dealers Set up - no visitors
5pm to 8pm Champaign Preview  Limited to 30 Guest tickets - $35 (3 day pass $55)

Saturday 10th September 2011   Ticket Price $15 (2 day pass $25 )

9am to 6pm Special Exhibition of Important Nihonto from Australian collections
9am to 6pm Special Exhibition of Important Sword fittings and Koshirae from Australian collections
10am Sydney Token Kai presentation “Sword etiquette and handling”
11am - Jim Gilbert will be giving a presentation on "Collecting Kodogu"
1pm Dr Gordon Robson presentation and display “ Important Edo Era koshirae “
3pm David Flynn presentation and display “ Gendaito ,  Nihonto of the mid 20th Century“
5pm The NTHK presents - hands on " How to make Oshigata" limited to 20 people, you must pre-book, $10 materials fee

4pm The NTHK present "The best of Shinsa"

Accommodation reservations are now available, we have secured a number of rooms. Please mention that you are reserving your room under the Sydney Token Kai block.

Prices are: Superior Queen Room 1 persons ($155 per night) , Superior Twin or Queen Room 2 persons ($165 per night ) prices include full breakfast.

Each individual must call / Email and quote they are booking as part of Sydney Token Kai group. All bookings must be called / emailed through Monday - Friday, normal business hours and all bookings must go through Group Reservations in order to obtain your group rate.
