NTHK SHINSA
|
| The NTHK Shinsa, Metro Central Hotel, Sydney Australia, 21st to 22nd March 2009.
We are currently taking reservations for slots for Nihonto (Japanese swords) , Kodogu (Japanese sword fittings) and Koshirae (Japanese sword complete furniture). David Flynn is the Shinsa coordinator and can take your inquiries, send out Reservation forms and answer your questions. There is a limit as to how many items a day the Shinsa-In can process. Therefore, a reservation system is in place to balance the flow of items through Shinsa. It is not unusual to totally fill up the popular times ahead of time with prepaid submittal reservations. It is possible to submit an item without a reservation, but there is no guarantee that a slot will be available at the time. Any “walk in” submittals normally have to wait until the very end of the day. Even then, the popular day, Saturday, tends to sell out ahead of time for blades. For those items that pass Shinsa, there is an Origami fee of $100 that must be paid when the item(s) are returned to the submitter. The NTHK shinsa fee structure is Your submission fee is also your deposit for your reservation. Submission fees that are unpaid are due 1st of January 2009 and must be paid by 1st March 2009 to hold your reservation. Once you have contacted us to make a Shinsa reservation we will send you an information pack via email or post. The information pack will include the Shinsa Reservation form, guidelines for submission, and details of how to pay your submission fees.
